Public Accounting Internship

MPB recognizes the value in providing experience for college students interested in the accounting field.

Our interns have the opportunity to work on a variety of client engagements under the supervision of experienced staff. An internship with MPB allows students to gain valuable skills and a better understanding of the public accounting profession as well as the business environment.

We are currently accepting applications for both full & part-time internship positions in all of our locations.

These internships provide students an excellent opportunity to fast-track their careers in public accounting through our strong training and mentorship programs and hands-on experience working on client engagements.

MPB’s internship positions are typically focused in one of our core service offerings – either within the tax or audit department.

Responsibilities within the tax department primarily include the preparation of individual and business tax returns, as well as other client bookkeeping and consulting services.

Responsibilities within the audit department primarily include assistance with attest engagements (audit, review, compilation) for clients across a wide variety of industries.

Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting. Successful candidates will be career driven individuals who display strong written and verbal communication skills and are able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced professional environment. Applicants with a goal of passing the CPA exam strongly preferred.
